In just one office visit, this state-of-the-art equipment can fabricate a ceramic crown, onlay, or veneer—saving you time, money, and additional drilling/injections! Typically, a crown restoration requires at least three appointments for an impression, fitting of a temporary piece, and perhaps additional drilling. But having access to this technique right in our office results in an hour or two’s worth of treatment time! We will be able to manufacture and fit/bond whatever ceramic piece your tooth/teeth require with the utmost precision and comfort. CEREC’s tooth-colored ceramics are composed of materials that blend beautifully and naturally, in addition to fortifying and preserving the structure of your teeth. High quality restorative care combined with a more time-efficient approach is sure to enhance both your smile and your experience.

Here’s how it works:

• Your tooth will be assessed and the appropriate treatment will be determined
• After removing decayed/weakened tissue, your tooth will be prepared for the restoration
• An optical 3D image is taken, in lieu of an impression, with a small 3D camera placed directly into your mouth
• The data from the image is interpreted and the restoration is created right on the screen of your chair-side computer
• Within minutes, the design data is sent to a milling machine in the office, where your dentist will place a ceramic block that perfectly matches the shade of your teeth
• Within 20 minutes, your ceramic restoration is finished and ready to bond into place!
• Your restoration is first placed in your mouth to ensure a proper bite and correct fit
• Once that has been determined, the restoration is polished and bonded to your tooth.
