Bridges and Crowns
Teeth that are worn, missing, or overly-repaired can compromise
esthetics and proper alignment of upper teeth and lower teeth.
Crown and bridge combinations, dental implants, partials with
a precision fit, or single crowns can restructure a smile beautifully. |
Crowns
restore a damaged tooth to its normal shape and size by either
strengthening a tooth or improving its appearance. They can
be placed for a number of reasons:
• to support a large filling
• to attach a bridge
• to protect weak teeth from fracturing
• to restore fractured teeth
• to cover badly shaped or discolored teeth
• to cover a dental implant
A bridge is a restoration that replaces a lost or missing tooth.
The purpose of a bridge is not purely esthetic however, as your
dental health and the proper functioning of your mouth will
be improved once the missing tooth is replaced. Bridges can
be fabricated to implants as well as natural teeth. A dental
implant is a state-of-the-art option for tooth replacement.
The less invasive fixed bridge, often referred to as the “Maryland
Bridge”, does not require extensive tooth preparation.
Although various materials may be used for bridges, Tribeca
Smiles uses only the finest ceramicists to create the most naturally
beautiful smile possible.
